Enrollment Preliminary (MCQ) Exam - What to Do and What Not to Do

Before entering the exam hall, you need to make decisions regarding what to do and what not to do when you have the MCQ questions in your hands.

In this post, I am sharing my personal opinions on this matter with everyone. You can choose to follow them, or you can disregard them.

Please note that this article might be a bit lengthy, but I hope you read it carefully. I hope this post won't be in vain.

1. "The legal profession is a noble one, and those in this profession are often known for their generous nature." However, in the exam hall, such generosity is not advisable. Being overly generous may lead to self-doubt, waste your time from the allocated time, or even get you disqualified. So, even though it might seem selfish or self-centered, you should not reveal your generosity in this case. Avoid showing generosity to others, as it may lead to wrong answers, time wastage, or even disqualification. If necessary, you should refrain from showing generosity. But yes, if the circumstances allow, try to display generosity toward someone else. Otherwise, you should not exhibit generosity at all, even if the situation allows it. In such a case, it might lead to unnecessary complications.

2. The First Step:

After correctly filling in your OMR Sheet with your name, roll number, etc., sit quietly in your seat. You may need to keep yourself calm and avoid any unnecessary distractions to focus on your own answers. Remember that in this exam, no one will be your savior, and your answers should be your own. Use any romantic or happy memories to keep yourself calm if needed, and focus on the questions rather than trying to be generous to others.

3. The Second Step:

After receiving the questions, check the set code mentioned on the questions and fill in the corresponding circles on the OMR Sheet or answer script carefully. Pay close attention while doing this. If you need help, you may ask someone nearby. If you have a chance, you can express your gratitude to that person by providing them with the correct answer to two or three questions.

4. The Third Step:

(a) After filling in the set code correctly on the OMR Sheet or answer script, remember the name of the Creator according to your faith and answer only those questions that you are 100% sure of. Avoid touching the questions where you have doubts or do not know the answer. In these cases, mark the questions with a dot (.) using your pen or pencil. Ensure that you answer only the questions you are entirely sure of.

(b) Once you've answered all the questions between 1-100, check how many questions you have answered correctly. If you see that you have answered around 90/80/70 or below, don't panic. You should research the unanswered questions in a smaller circle. In this case, you will aim to get 100% correct answers to the questions you are researching.

(c) If you notice that you have answered around 60/50 or less, you may need to mentally prepare yourself. Try to stay within this range of numbers, but remember that it won't be straightforward. Researching a few questions can be a bit challenging. Therefore, consider this as a mental battle. The correct answers to these questions largely depend on luck. It's essential to be calm and not get overwhelmed by the challenge. In this case, you may research a limited number of questions and aim to get 100% correct answers.

(d) At the final step, check how many questions you have answered correctly. Do not attempt to answer questions you are unsure of or mark as doubtful. Remember that marking incorrect answers will result in a penalty of -0.25 points per wrong answer. Additionally, attempting to alter the answer sheet with a pen will not be allowed. Therefore, don't waste time and stick to the instructions provided by the examiners. Focus on your own answer sheet, and once the designated time is up, submit your answer script to the examiner. Keep in mind that there is no extra time or opportunity to re-enter the exam room after the specified time has passed. The post-exam revision of the answer sheet is not allowed, and making any revisions to the answers won't be beneficial. It's essential to follow the examiner's instructions diligently and refrain from discussing the exam with others."

6. Silence Expel:

Remember that during the Enrollment Preliminary (MCQ) exam, there is no opportunity for light conversation or disruptions. The entire exam process will be monitored by the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission. In case the allotted time elapses, you must follow the invigilator's instructions and submit your answer script to them. There is no possibility of expelling yourself or handing your answer script to someone else or any external means to submit it. Keep in mind that after the exam, any revisions or changes to the answer sheet are not allowed.

Lastly, "The best is the last part, and the best is the one who has everything." I hope everyone's last part will be very, very good, and as the successful ones return, they will share their stories with us. Our group's wall will always be open for your expectations... Wishing everyone the best of luck!
