Entertainment is a focus point of human curiosity. People want to seepage from the boring routine of their daily life and take themselves to another joyful world. Want to get a different taste, where there will be no work or family pressure and will get peace of mind. Each person's preference for pastime is different. Some find entertainment in the songs of their favorite singers, some in the writings of their favorite authors, some want to mingle with nature, some in chatting with their special person and friends or in the games of their beloved team. However, if we want to define entertainment in one sentence, entertainment is a type of activity that gives pleasure by seeing, hearing, imagining or doing it yourself. According to me entertainment is an activity that gives people pleasure or fun as well as helps them to change their perspective, hence entertainment.
Entertainment has many facets. Such as physical
exercise, storytelling, music, film, drama, poetry, books, dance, comic drama,
sports etc. Nowadays people are seasonal in some respects and regular in
others. Like many of us read books regularly but our support revolves around a
festival, the best example of this, is the “Greatest Show on the Earth” or the
Football World Cup. Like other countries, there is no lack of
interest in sports in our country, but this time our enthusiasm for the
football world cup seems to be a little more than any other world cup. The
satisfaction shown by our business brothers in selling their jerseys and flags
around this World Cup shows the enthusiasm of the people of Bangladesh towards
sports, even many sellers say that they are struggling to provide jerseys
according to the customer's demand. According to World Sports 24, football
currently tops the list of most popular sports with around 4 billion fans. The
most interesting thing is that there are more people playing football (2.5
billion) than the number of cricket fans.
There are certain elements of entertainment which help
to satisfy the audience, which the audience should find out if these elements
are present in their entertainment. For example, how realistic the
entertainment is, how much the type of entertainment affects the current
situation, whether this entertainment is able to make you understand the
importance of your life, what you learned from this entertainment, what new
things you learned, etc. All activities that help change your
perspective should be recreational.
But in some cases our madness is so great that we
don't want to think about its consequences, we are more comfortable with
emotions. We are making a thousand feet long flag and hanging it on the side of
the road. People sell land and hang flags from their house to my
father-in-law's house. But the people of the country are sleeping on the
streets in winter nights without eating. People feel proud even by making a
distorted flag, they don't even know about the fact that they are insulting the
flag in the name of the flag. Peoples hung a huge flag showing my love for my
team. But country's flag has no place there, Says whatever he wants in support
of the team, doesn't hesitate to taunt even the best players in the world. Many
close friendships and cherished relationships with loved ones are destroyed due
to this unhealthy competition. If the team loses, they may be confined to the
house or support the team by telling lies or imaginary stories. Fireworks and
victory procession in the area at night. The problems of local residents do not
matter to them. People are now so passionate that they don't hesitate to give
their lives for the team. One died in Cumilla after Argentina lost the first
match. Kevin Davies, a 66-year-old Wales fan, died. Two teenagers died while
hoisting the flag on the roof in Cox's Bazar. A few days ago a 28-year-old
Shamim Mian of Netrakona died of a heart attack in the time of watching
football match. If we consider previous years, a total of 1,326 supporters have
died since 1964. In 1964 one of the most tragic events occurred in Peru. Where
about 320 people died and 126 people died in Ghana in 2001. Also this year in
Indonesia, 127 fans were crushed in the stadium.
To get rid of this situation, first of all, you have
to be aware of yourself. Victory festival should be celebrated outside the
residential area. There will be wins and losses in the game and have to develop
the mindset to accept that. Don't get too emotional, don't get into arguments
with anyone. Respect must be shown to all team. Entertainment should not be
used to demean others. Before acting, think about the consequences. Humanitarian
mentality should be nurtured. Respect for the laws of the country and genuine
love for the country should be nurtured. Care should be taken that
entertainment does not cause harm. Remember that sports are just entertainment,
and the entertainment is for you, not you for the entertainment.
